So, I took a break from this place for a while, but my friend's teen had a birthday, so I invited them out for dinner last minute. This place can't cook burgers to order, unless you like them well-done. We all got bacon cheeseburgers and all ordered them medium. They were all well done. But, there was nothing inedible to them, so we ate. I kept my mouth shut (learning from the last time that complaining gets you nowhere). The onion rings were VERY GOOD. the service was good too. If this was the end of the story, I would have kept my rating at 3 stars (A-OK). Once we left the establishment, we were confronted by one of the owners. And I chose the word "confronted" specifically. He was aggressive and belittling, referencing my last YELP rating. I attempted to explain that he isn't allowing the burger to rest before serving it. As most cooks know, almost all proteins continue to cook after you take them off of the heat source. So, if you want a burger medium, cook it medium-rare and take it off the grill. It will be a perfect medium by the time it is served. well, he didn't want to hear any of that, making excuses like "what do you want for a $5 burger?" and telling me I didn't know what i was talking about. Well, I know how to cook a burger, little man, and a lot more. Once we were in the van, the three of us could not believe the conduct of this owner. And thinking back, I am certain he was the guy cursing at his staff in the kitchen (see my earlier reviews). We all decided that was our last trip there. Since he obviously checks yelp, here's a little message for you: Get out of the business. You are a stupid, ill-mannered little slug. We don't want people like you in Winter Springs. This is a nice community. Go back to Philly, or Jersey or Baltimore (whatever metropolitan toilet you crawled out of) and you can talk to your customers any way you want.

Went to dinner last night the food looked like it was previously cooked and than reheated. There was no flavor. Our seat sucked and the door slammed every time someone went on our out. We will not be returning. There are so many other places to choose from. Strike two winter springs.

Like C B., the owner also messaged me after my first review, which really means a lot. Not only is he looking at Yelp, he's actually responding to what he reads and is making an effort to "make it right," as he said to me. I went back to Mikki V's for lunch with a friend last Friday, and the service and food were much, much better. Our server, Joey, I think, was really great. Very attentive and friendly. Food came out quick and was enjoyable. I started with the Lobster Bisque, which had a good amount of lobster meat in it. Good flavor, too. For my entrée, I had the South Beach Kale Salad -- which I had eyed on my first trip and been wanting to try since. Greens, orzo, tabboleh with a lemon oregano dressing and topped with panko crusted chicken. Yum! It was fresh and a very generous portion. I went home with left-overs and was pleased with my choice. My friend had the Lobster Roll and a side of Lobster Mac and Cheese. She commented that the Roll was flavorful and filled with meat -- not mayo, like some can be. Looked fresh to me. The Mac and Cheese was very large for a side. I can't even imagine how big the entrée is! I tried the Mac and Cheese and we agreed it was salty. It's enticing to order, but for the time being, I'd skip it until the recipe is reworked.

My boyfriend and I went to Mikki V's on Wednesday for the $5 burger special. We both had bacon cheeseburgers which were big in size and flavor and a great value for only $5. Also we both tried the keg sampler of sodas including a root beer, cream, orange and ginger ale sodas made by the restaurant they were very good as well. We were served by Edouard who was very friendly, outgoing and helpful who consistently checked in on us making sure we had a good experience. We would definitely come back to Mikki V's.

I've been going to MikkiV's for a while now and it's one of the best restaurants in town! Great food, great staff....always making us feel at home! The owners are always on hand and so personal! I've also been to a few fundraisers that they have catered and have always enjoyed the food!! I always look forward to my GNO on Tuesdays and any other time I'm able to stop in to MikkiV's!!

The lobster mac and cheese is yummy. Great service and really good deserts. Drink specials beer and a full liquor bar.

Mikki V's is a family favorite & neighborhood gem. The food is great and the staff like family! I highly recommend it. If you like burgers then head over on Wednesday for $5 burgers

Mid-grade food. Nothing fantastic. Ordered a wedge salad and all I was given was the wedge. No bacon and no tomatoes. Brown iceberg lettuce. Reason I put 3 starts was my wrap was pretty good. If your going for a quick bite to eat then this place is fine like any pub. Stick to wraps and sandwiches and burgers and fries.

Came there on my lunch yesterday, food and service were pretty good for the price! If I'm in the area I would probably try it again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

Man...I really wanted it to be good....but honestly after 3 visits... its at best mediocre. Nothing tasted fresh (well other than the blue cheese dressing) ... the last time we had the burger and buffalo chicken flat bread (which was really, really dry and flavorless). My silverware was dirty and both wine glasses came with lipstick on them (so very gross)!! We were really hoping for something good close to home :/

Visited Mikki V's last wednesday. Wednesday night is 5 dollar burger night. First I'd like to say I like the location of Mikki V's. Tuscawilla Town Center, at the end of Tuscawilla Rd. and 434 in Winter Springs. Its nice, new and comfortable inside. It has lots of TVs and so this place will cater well to sports fans. My "5 dollar" burger is the most anyone should pay for it. The meat was blah, in flavor. Nothing exciting, nothing made it stand out from a patty you'd buy at a local grocery store and throw on the grill. The bun was kind of stale, flat and not very flattering. Even though I only had a few bites of it. When I asked for other side options, I was told the veggies are only for entrees but they had fruit. Really? Why can't you just steam some broc? I do it all he time, takes 5 mins. I selected fruit... which was only honey dew, cantaloupe and pineapple. Too much sugar, but I guess its better than just fries or slaw. My girlfriend had a burger with friends. I wanted to try the fries so i could review them. The ones I tried were a little too soggy from the fryer, but they weren't overly salty. We both ordered mixed drinks. I had a cran with vodka and she had a cosmo. For the price of the mixed drinks, I think the amount of alcohol was severely lacking. The cosmo wasnt shaken well and seemed like a small portion compared the glass size and how much was poured. They are relatively new, so I will go back after a few months to see if they have made any improvements. I will say this, we honestly felt the service was the best. Friendly, helpful and considerate. My girlfriend said she would return just because of that, but that the food was just "ok".

Great staff awesome food and a fair price . My wife and I was working in the Area pressure Cleanning "Pressure Plus Services " and we wanted something good to eat and we were not let down. My wifey cannot talking about her salad and my fish and chips were better than described in the menu we definitely will be coming back in the future.

The food was delicious! Although, the service was lacking big time! Took forever to get the beers. Notwithstanding, it was happy hour with an hour left.

Great service. Could not have a more friendly staff. Beers are very well priced and something for everyone on the menu. 4 stars instead of 5 only because the fish and chips did not have a lot of taste. However, I'm hopeful this place will do well.

Had the mahi (not the wrap) with the blood orange drizzle. The mahi was a generous portion size and perfectly cooked and the drizzle added a nice zing without overpowering the fish. I can't remember if the veggies were steamed or sautéed but they were yummy and just the right portion size. The jasmine rice was also perfectly cooked. I was pleasantly surprised to have a light and delicious seafood dinner at a burger joint. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The casual setting was relaxed and the location was easy-in, easy-out. I would eat here again without hesitation.

I want to be fair and begin by saying..."Opening night is probably not the smartest night to choose to dine at a new eatery". The couple of day earlier soft opening didn't seem to help work out the kinks. What threw the whole thing (dinner) out of kilter was the fact that the Pulled Pork Nacho appetizer was re-made due to an ingredient mistake. That allowed the entree to catch up, and even pass, the prep time. Most all selections were served tepid at best....those that were to have been warm! BTW, the nachos were average. The Grilled Chicken Salad was a just an okay salad. The ribs were pretty good. The Fish n Chips were good up to the bite that someone in the kitchen hid the salt that was to go in the salt shaker! The Corn Flake Chicken tasted like chicken with corn flakes baked on it. All was very average. I want Mikki's to make it. The owners seemed like great guys with good personalities for running an eatery. What's wrong with being a block off SR434? Nothing. Please go try a meal here. This could be a good local spot but the kitchen has to get real. We will try it again and hope the menu is pared down and the taste/speed gets fixed quick.

The veggie burger and turkey burger are good, however More Veggie options would be great also a side that isn't fried.

  • C M.

I ordered the ribs dry with both sauces on the side. Fall off the bone tender meat. My Girlfriend had the blue cheese burger but wasn't impressed (she's finicky) We will be back thanks to the staff, my meal and the atmosphere. The owner took the time to check in on us, inquired if we had children and informed us just how family friendly this place is. They even have a dog station on the patio if you want to bring your well mannered pooch.

My husband & I took advantage of the $5 burger night. I had the basic cheeseburger & my husband had the Devin burger that has fried onions & jalepenos. Each of us enjoyed our burgers. The meat had a good flavor and the fries were also tasty. Also service was good in spite of it being newly opened & the wait staff were still learning. There's also a great atmosphere with plenty of TVs to watch the game & the music isn't too loud to carry on a conversation. We'll definitely go back to try more of the menu.

Had a nice lunch with a friend here the other day. Service was great! While they are brand new & the server was nervous as heck & it showed, he was eager & checked in frequently (my friend & I hadn't seen each other in awhile & were too busy chatting to look at the menu) and got the answers for us that he didn't know quickly. I had a salad & while it wasn't the best salad I've ever had, it was really good. My friend had the eggplant pram sandwich & it was very tasty. She got the sweet potato fries for a side & while I don't typically like sweet sauce with my sweet potatoes, this one was fabulous! Very unique. The burgers looked delicious as they past our table & I've heard really good things about the Mac n cheese & key lime pie. I am so excited to have another go to restaurant nearby & cannot wait to try it again!

When we first walked in the place was almost empty. We were greeted right away. It was my wife and I and our 3 year old. The man that greeted us asked my daughter if she wanted a toy. He took the time to kneel down and show her all her options. It was an amazing first impression. We got seated and ordered drinks. We looked over the menu and decided to get chicken bbq nachos and a portobello sandwich and split them. They then brought us a small plate of chips with an interesting sweet veggie oil dip thing. The chips were very stall. We immediately regretted our nacho order so I went and found the server and told her about the chips. She said she would fix it. 2 min later the man that seated is brought us a big bowl of chips to try and they tasted great. Again amazing service. It went straight down hill from there. My wife ordered a glass of wine and asked for a glass of water as well. She had to ask 2 more times before it finally showed up. The nachos were nasty. The beans were a dried up thick glob all over the pile of chips. The chicken was dried out. The bbq sauce was spicy. Very disappointed in them. The portobello sandwich was very small. It wasn't bad buy wasn't anything fantastic. The fries were simple generic fries. Once we asked for our check it took awhile to get. Once we got it it took what seemed to be a manager or an owner multiple times of asking his server to process my credit card. When we got there the place was empty. At 8 o'clock a rush came that they didn't seem prepared for. The 2 serves and 2 managers were all over the place. At one point a cook was seating people. And at a high top by the bar a lady was smoking an e cigarette. Are those legal I side a resturant? I don't care what people say about them. I don't want them smoked around me and my family. I don't think we will be going back to try eating here again.

I had the eggplant sandwich and it was horrible. Greasy and over cooked. While I was there I heard another person complain about the same thing. The chef came out and the man stated he ordered it once before and the sandwich was greasy and over cooked the last time too. What did the Chef say? He told the man that maybe he should order something different next time. Are you kidding me! The owner did come out and speak to the customer and try to make things right. However, in my opinion the owner was just making excuses for the chef and the reason the sandwich was horrible. If the sandwich can not be made to standards than take it off the menu. Both left a bad taste in my mouth. Doubt I will go back again.

So happy that we have Mikki V's in our neighborhood! The interior is so nice and there is plenty of room to bring your family. We had the Lobster Mac & Cheese and it was to die for. It was absolutely delicious. The lobster was cooked perfectly and the cheese sauce was amazing. We also tried the "homemade" potato chips. These potato chips are ridiculously good! They are homemade potato chips topped alfredo sauce, blue cheese crumbles, chopped tomato, scallions and basaltic drizzle. OMG, they are so addicting. We finished off our meal with the Key Lime Pie. It was equally as good. I could not stop eating it. The staff is wonderful and the owners Mike & Steve were super nice. We are so excited to go back. I highly recommend Mikki V's!!

My husband and I along with various friends have eaten at Mikki V's 5-6 times. We enjoy the staff and both owners. We have always felt the food was very good for the price and enjoy their Happy Hours M-F, 4-7 pm. They also have a bar menu available at HH with great prices. I understand everyone has their own expectations and experiences but ours has always been very positive. We didn't visit when they first opened so our experience has been over the last 2 months. We are happy they are there and wish them much success. This part of Winter Springs does not cater to top end, expensive restaurants. Hopefully with more growth in the area that will change but for now it's nice to have a local bar, restaurant, HH place to go!! Great specials almost every night -- wings, $5 burgers, etc. The owners both seem very receptive to feedback on the food and I've watched them both have the cooks try changes to the recipes to make them better. We visit usually once a week at least !!

Where oh where to start. When 4 of us arrived for dinner the place was about a third occupied. Our server was a nice young lady and took our orders without fanfare. What seemed like days later our appetizers arrived and the order was wrong. Then, a small bowl of mixed relish was placed on the table with nothing to put it on. No bread, no crackers, nada, zip. Really? We all tasted it and it turned out to be the best part of the meal. A few minutes later our appetizer arrived, followed two minutes later by our entrees. Not a happy moment. Sadly, the food was mediocre at best. Perhaps the only way this eatery will survive is that the owners fire the entire kitchen staff and begin anew with people who actually know how to cook. The cornflake encrusted chicken was simply wretched as were the nachos. I can't speak for my dining companions but there was a lot of food shuffling going on at our table. One person asked for a to- go box....for his possum!!! Now, that is sad. C'mon, owners, please save this eatery. Change the appropriate staff and pare down the menu to a few really good dishes! We'll try it again next month, hoping it will be a better experience. We try and support local businesses but you have to do your part.

I live up the street from Mikki V's and have eaten at the previous restaurants in the same spot that didn't make it (Beef O' Brady's and Mango Spice). I had read several of the older Yelp reviews and was hesitant to make a visit until I read a review from one of my neighbors on our Facebook page that encouraged me to try it out. My husband and I arrived around 5:30 pm on a Saturday evening and were immediately greeted with a friendly welcome. We were seated and our server was there promptly. We ordered drinks, then the Edamame (delicious), then we shared the Wedge salad. I had the Mahi wrap and my husband had the eggplant parmigiana sandwich. Everything was excellent - the mahi wrap is the best I've had. We ended our dinner with a piece of their fresh chocolate cake, extra moist. The service was excellent, the restaurant is very clean with a relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely return and would encourage everyone to overlook any of the lesser rated reviews from when they first opened and give Mikki V's a try - I think it will be one of your favorites!

I have been to Mikki V's twice. The first was one of the first opening days. I had the Mahi-mahi wrap and my husband had the pulled pork. The wait staff seemed a little confused when we first got there, I know there had to have been training still going on. Our server had to check with management and/or the chefs on several questions we had about menu items. My Mahi wrap was tasty, no complaints. My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich but didn't think it was anything out of this world. We both liked the homemade potato chips. They also gave us a complimentary bowl of salsa, but we were a little puzzled as to how we were supposed to eat it... on bread from our sandwiches? with our fingers? with a spoon? The second time I went in by myself. This time I was given the salsa with chips (Ah, yes, chips...that would have helped the first time around). I had the black bean burger but I don't think my server knew what that was. I asked him if the burger was made in-house or if it was a frozen patty, and he told me, "well, they are frozen here, but not kept frozen for very long." I wasn't even sure what that meant, and I was starving, so I went ahead and ordered it. To my disappointment it was two frozen patties. I'm glad it was two, because they were very small/thin. Restaurants sometimes have awesome veggie/bean burgers so I was hoping for a homemade recipe. I'll have to stick with the Veggie burger from Cheesecake Factory in the future. My food, both times, were served within a reasonable amount of time. I'll be giving them another shot in the future, I'm just hoping they wow me with something to keep me coming back.

My wife and dined at Mikki Vs a week ago on a Sunday evening. She had heard about them from Monsters in the Morning. We love the location and liked the interior decor and ambiance. Our waitress was great (sorry I can't remember her name). My wife ordered the mahi mahi and thought it was wonderful! Nicely marinated, beautifully cooked. I don't like fish but she gave me a taste and it WAS delicious. I orders the bacon cheeseburger, medium. It was perfectly cooked. The hamburger itself tasted "clean", meaning the Angus beef did not have preservatives or hormones, etc. the bacon was the way I like it: soft, not crisp. I had a side salad instead of the fries and was rewarded with a great salad that had the vegetables chopped and placed in a mound on top of the bed of lettuce. An excellent meal, good vibe. We're going back tomorrow with friends for Burger Wednesday and hope that our experience is repeated. And no, I don't know the owners, we truly had a nice evening and excellent meal.

Not good. Frozen food at best. Burgers not good. I will say that the root beer was good and that is what the 1 star is for. I like fresh food and will not visit this place again.

When Mikki V's first opened I really liked it: a good neighborhood place with very good food and decent service. However, the last few times we've been there we've been disappointed. Cleanliness and food quality are slipping. Today we were handed menus that were sticky, dirty, and beat up. Not a great first impression when you sit down to eat. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It tasted like the pork had been reheated. The last time we went I ordered a burger, and the meat tasted as though it had been sitting around a bit too long. My wife had a wedge salad that was good, but maybe just a bit too much dressing. She also ordered the margherita flat bread that was pretty heavy on the garlic. We really do hope things improve again, because we want it to succeed. But if these issues remain, we'll have to look elsewhere for good food at a decent price in a casual setting.

Reader's Digest Version Tea- Colored Water Side Salad- Colorful Blend of Fresh Veggies Lobster Roll- Lobster was "ok"... served on cheap hot dog bun ?? Parm Encrusted Chicken- Strangest thing I have ever seen...well prepared chicken dunked in a mixture of pasta that sits in a bowl with approximately 1/2 inch of water/butter that not only tastes odd, but kills the texture of the chicken. The bread served with this entree was very tasteful....probably should be considered as a replacement for the hot dog bun on the lobster roll. Wait staff needs more training. First Visit- Probably Last Visit !

A neighborhood joint in the Winter Springs Town Center - mediocre and nothing special. They got some specials during the week like 1 dollar draft on Tuesdays and a $5 burger on Wednesday. We had a very enthusiastic server but too bad it took forever for everything. The food was like your normal sport bar grill - wings, burgers/sandwiches, wrap and a few real entrees. - you know the jist. I did tried their lobster roll. The bread was actually pretty toasty but the lobster meat was not the freshest it can be. Tail meat. I got it with sweet potato fries but I never got the sauce. Another item we ordered was the wings with Parmesan garlic. I like that I could see the parm cheese but the actual wings were not seasoned. Then the check took forever - had to get her twice. AOK...

I would like to update my review because the owner contacted me personally. I am very impressed by this gesture but after talking with my fiancé we have decided to not take him up on his offer of another meal on him. I really hope this restaurant makes it but until the food gets better I don't foresee that happening....

The food was excellent. I had the Reuben sandwich which was huge and had very tender corned beef. My wife had the Mahi Mahi wrap which also was excellent. We ordered the cheese plate and had a cranberry cheese which was delicious. Overall, great experience with great food and service. We will definitely be back.
